Trainee TO Liaison Manager

Are you passionate about supporting others and contributing to the growth of swimming in our region?

The Trainee Technical Official (TO) Liaison Manager is a vital volunteer role with Swimming Wide Bay (SWB), dedicated to helping our trainee technical officials (TOs) on their path to accreditation. 

You’ll work in a small, supportive team alongside SWB’s TO Committee members, David Towner and Matthew Robinson, to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for our trainees. As the key connection between Swimming Australia, Swimming Queensland, and SWB, you’ll play an essential role in guiding our trainees and keeping the process running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for all trainee TO enquiries within SWB.
    Collaborate with Swimming Wide Bay’s head referees to manage and schedule trainee TOs’ practical experiences and assessments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database (Google Sheets) with trainee and accredited TO contact details, as well as training statuses.
  • Liaise with Swimming Australia and Swimming Queensland regarding TO training, accreditation queries, and status updates.
  • Liaise with clubs hosting meets on their TO requirements, and feed that info through to David and Matthew
    Occasionally check and extract data from Swimming Australia’s SwimCentral database.
