Coaches Connect is a region-wide professional learning series designed to strengthen and unite the coaching community across the Wide Bay region. It’s a space where coaches can learn, share, and grow together — building lasting connections that enhance both individual and collective development.
The series caters to Head Coaches, Senior Coaches, Junior/Assistant Coaches, and Learn-to-Swim Coaches, featuring practical, info workshops that you can apply directly to your programs.
More than just professional development, Coaches Connect is about fostering a supportive network where ideas are exchanged, experiences are shared, and collaboration drives progress across our region.
Great coaching underpins a swimmer’s enjoyment, skill development, and long-term performance and success. Our focus aligns with state and national priorities regarding coach education, inclusion, and a safe, positive sports environment, so your learning connects to the broader pathway.
Each session runs for 60–90 minutes in person, includes an interactive Q&A segment during or after the discussion, and wraps up with a shared lunch and take-home resources to keep the learning going.
You’re invited to an inspiring morning of conversation, connection, and coaching insights!
Join us on Wednesday, November 12, at the Sunshine Coast Sport Precinct from 10am, as we dive into ‘A Coach Journey’ with guest speakers Harley Connolly and Théo Fuchs.
From the pool deck to the coaching deck, they’ll share their experiences with staying motivated, inspiring athletes, and navigating the coaching pathway.
